Golang Job: DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in EKS, Kubernetes, AWS, Helm, GitOps, and scripting experience using Python or Bash. Additional skills in ArgoCD, Karpenter, Istio Service Mesh, Jsonnet, or GoLang are considered a bonus. Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain container orchestration systems using EKS, Kubernetes, and Helm.

· Implement and manage GitOps workflows for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

· Architect and maintain AWS infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.

· Collaborate with development teams to ensure application architecture is scalable, resilient, and secure.

· Utilize Python or Bash scripting to automate tasks and create custom tools as needed.

· Implement and manage Karpenter and Istio Service Mesh as needed.

· Utilize Jsonnet for configuration management and templating.

· Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

· Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing processes, tools, and infrastructure.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, actively sharing knowledge with team members.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

· 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.

· Strong expertise in EKS, Kubernetes, AWS, Helm, and GitOps.

· Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

· Experience with ArgoCD, Karpenter, Istio Service Mesh, Jsonnet, or GoLang is a plus.

· Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

· Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
